As 2025 comes to an end, it’s time for that end-of-year reflection — and it’s crazy how different the ending feels from the beginning.
This year started as one of the hardest I’ve faced—mentally, creatively, and professionally. I felt stuck, burnt out, and my motivation was quickly fading. There were moments where progress felt invisible, where the grind felt heavier than the reward, and where quitting felt like the easier option — especially after starting a new day job. The amount of time, energy, and focus it demanded made it tempting to put Low Frequency Productions on the shelf. But after months of being, sticking with it eventually started to pay off.
Instead of pulling back, I doubled down on perseverance, dedication, and consistency. Day by day, brick by brick, things began to shift.
Somewhere along the way, the hard season turned into momentum…
2025 became a year of growth, refinement, and creative alignment. I was blessed with opportunities to build some truly beautiful stages, push my technical and creative limits, and design light shows for artists I deeply respect. This was also the most DJ sets I’ve ever played in a single year—and without a doubt, some of the best crowds I’ve had the privilege of playing for.
The career highlight of the year? Getting to design a light show for Sasha, Kora, and Rodriguez Jr! This was the validation I didn't know I needed — to prove that staying focused on craft, quality, and intention truly matters.
This year also taught me the value of focus and selectivity. I learned how to say no to certain gigs so I could say yes to the right ones—channeling energy into fewer, bigger, more meaningful projects instead of spreading myself too thin. That shift in mindset made room for higher-quality work, stronger partnerships, and experiences that truly aligned with my vision.
2025 also marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter: teaming up with David Baca as a business collaborator. Bringing in someone who shares the same standards, vision, and drive has already elevated what’s possible—and I’m genuinely excited about our future together. Sometimes the right collaboration doesn’t just add capacity, it sharpens direction.
This year reminded me why I do this in the first place: creating experiences, shaping environments, and helping moments come alive through sound, light, and energy. Seeing rooms transform and people connect makes every late night and long load-in worth it.
And as I look back now, it’s clear that what started as the hardest year I’ve had in a long time ended up being one of the most fruitful—not just in results, but in clarity, growth, and direction. The challenges forced better decisions, stronger boundaries, and a deeper commitment to the long game.
I’m already deep into planning for 2026. Some of the things I’m working toward:
– Designing merch
– Ordering bigger and better lighting equipment
– Expanding light shows with more precision
– Building the business bigger, sharper, and more intentional than ever
Grateful for the challenges, thankful for the wins, and incredibly excited for what’s next!
Last but certainly not least, I want to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who has believed in and supported my journey. To those who work closely with me, those who show up for the long nights, the hard setups and tear-downs after everyone else has gone home, those who guided and inspired me when things felt heavy, and those who trusted me with the opportunity to spice up your events — I would not be here without you.
THANK YOU for believing in my vision and pushing through the grind with me!
