Augusta Symphony Together, we are music! Community Chords currently serve approximately 27,000 youth and adults in communities within a 75-mile radius from Augusta.

Founded in 1954, Augusta Symphony is the primary professional orchestra for Augusta’s River Region and pursues its mission through annual symphonic, Pops, and family concerts that reach approximately 20,000 people each year. Via Community Chords Music Education, Veterans Outreach, and Group Music Therapy programs, the Augusta Symphony further strives to foster broad accessibility to live classical music performance and a lifelong appreciation of the art form among people of all ages, backgrounds, and means.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO | Doors open at 6:30 PM for The Texas Tenors, the first performance of our Piedmont Augusta Pops! Series, tonight at the Miller Theater! Get your tickets in person at the Miller Theater Box Office or online at augustasymphony.com.

Plan Ahead: Construction on Broad Street may affect traffic, parking, and the usual drop-off area in front of the Miller Theater. We encourage patrons to arrive at least 15 minutes earlier than normal and plan to use Seventh Street for any drop-offs. We are working closely with the City of Augusta to keep access to the Miller Theater as convenient and safe as possible.

Broadway star Megan Hilty is coming to Augusta! ✨

We’re thrilled to welcome the Tony and Grammy Award-nominated actress and singer as the guest artist for our ninth annual Augusta Symphony Gala on Saturday, January 30, 2027, at the historic Miller Theater.

Known for her celebrated performances in WICKED, NBC’s Smash, and Death Becomes Her, Megan will perform live alongside your Augusta Symphony, conducted by Maestro Dirk Meyer.

Join us for a black-tie evening featuring extraordinary music, hors d’oeuvres, an open bar with premium beverages, and our Encore Gala Celebration following the performance. VIP and sponsorship packages will also be available.

As our largest fundraiser of the year, the Gala supports the performances, education, and community programs that bring music to life throughout our region.

What a way to begin a season!

Friday night, the Miller Theater came alive as we opened our 2026-27 season together.

From Maestro Dirk Meyer, and the Augusta Symphony taking the stage, to our own Principal Timpanist Denis Petrunin stepping into the spotlight for Michael Daugherty's electrifying Raise the Roof, it was an evening that reminded us exactly why there is nothing quite like experiencing this music live.

Opening Night is about more than what happens onstage. It's seeing a full theater, welcoming familiar faces back to the Miller, meeting new ones, and celebrating afterward with the community that makes this orchestra possible.

Thank you, Augusta - the season is officially underway.

There’s no better way to begin a new season than surrounded by the people who help make it possible! Last night, we gathered for our annual Meet the Maestro celebration with our Maestro Society members, sponsors, board members, staff, and musicians.
