Since 2003, Garden City Jazz has partnered with the City of Augusta and various media outlets to present jazz music in a family-friendly atmosphere. During the summer (and now year-round), folks young and old, from near and far converge on Riverwalk Augusta and other venues for a relaxing evening of music and art under the stars. Candlelight is a series, but each performance also has its own audience. Some people come every week, and some people come because they follow a specific artist or band.

So when weather, location, or timing becomes uncertain, the performer’s communication matters too.
