Here is a sneak peak of my exhibit at Sacred Heart, opening tonight. After creating my Westohue piece, I was still interested in the grid and how it could be used to split up an image but also put together an image like a window, tile backsplash or quilt. Grids are embedded in much of our visual world. So for this collection I created parameters to work with in- continued experimentation with a grid and representing some of the organic beauty of my hometown. I also wanted to go back to painting my original muse- Sacred Heart. This exhibit is quite a full circle moment because ever since I was little I had loved Sacred Heart, and had drawn it many times but this will be my first exhibit in the venue and I could not be more thrilled!
