My all-time favorite concert our group performed was in St. Peter’s in Vienna, Austria. The moment the organ played I got chills—so very reverent—it’s been awhile since I’ve heard an organ playing—and the acoustic sound in St. Peter’s is unmatched. I noticed EG’s chin quivering (she is my stoic child) as she fought back emotion. I’m a shower crier myself but after this organ into., I put my phone down and soaked up the moment as the tears fell. During the earlier rehearsal I was so worried EG was going to pass out—so keeping my gaze fixed on her during the concert, I was thankful she was ok and proud of her for pushing through the heat (from a literal spotlight shining on her, plus from the skylights, and a hot day outside).
