Featured Artist: Jenny Deiter

Kentucky-based painter Jenny Deiter explores memory, atmosphere, and the shifting relationship between landscape and emotion. Working in layered acrylics, Deiter creates paintings that move fluidly between observation and abstraction, using color, texture, and light to evoke a sense of place rather than simply describe it.

BECOMING brings together studio explorations, recent work, and new large-scale paintings that reflects the continued evolution of Deiter’s artistic voice. Across the exhibition, familiar elements of landscape are transformed through layers of paint, gesture, and atmosphere, revealing a practice grounded in both observation and intuitive exploration.

The exhibition offers a glimpse into an artist in motion—one whose work continues to develop through experimentation with color, texture, and the emotional possibilities of landscape. BECOMING captures this evolving process, inviting viewers to consider not only the places depicted, but the memories, sensations, and emotions that shape our experience of them.

Please join us for an exciting evening to preview Pam Adams’ beautiful new artwork and mingle with local art enthusiasts.

Relax, enjoy a glass of wine with cheese, and immerse yourself in our vibrant arts community.

Based in Northern Kentucky, Pam Adams finds inspiration in the region’s backroads, small towns, farmland, and river scenes. Painting both en plein air and in her studio, she is deeply drawn to color, light, and atmosphere.

Her work captures more than just a physical place; it highlights the emotional connection, the shaping of space, and the specific time and feeling evoked by the landscape.

While her path did not include a traditional, formal art education, Pam has dedicated herself to studying and refining her craft daily. Through workshops, independent study, and the encouragement of fellow artists, her creative journey has become a deeply meaningful, ongoing adventure.

Her goal is simple: to create paintings that feel alive, inviting viewers to slow down, notice the beauty in everyday moments, and reconnect with the world around them.
 
AAG’s gallery also features original artwork by several other local artists, and a wide selection of handcrafted gift items made by local artisans, i.e. jewelry, pottery, greeting cards, handmade soaps, home decor, art to wear and much more!!!

Had a wonderful weekend at the Ripley Co./Versailles State Park Paint out. Won " Best in Show " for this entry. This is a great event that I always look forward to attending. I will be the Featured Artist at the Augusta Art Guild Gallery for the month of July. We will be having the Art Opening for "Country Roads" by Pam Adams on Friday, July 3rd 5 - 7pm. 116 Main St., Augusta, KY
