Why Lotus Skies?
I am frequently asked about the reason I use the lotus as interpretation of light in my seascapes. The answer is simple: it represents who I am and my journey through life, Art, and the power of rising above.
The lotus is symbolic rising above all that tries to keep something beautiful down. At the very bottom of mud and muck and darkness, the lotus is able to keep pushing upward toward the surface where it is free at last to bloom in all its glory, radiating love and light into the world.
It is my reminder that the past has shaped me, but does not imprison me. That I am a riser, a generational curse breaker, that I can trust in the unfolding of my own self in my own time.
My Art is my little pocket of light to share with the world. Each little piece holds its own meaning, hope, and love.
If I accomplish nothing else in life but to share light and love and raise young humans to do the same, I have done my job in this lifetime 💜
