A great small mirror made in the mosaic mirror class. She used a variety of mixed media including pearls, beads made from polymer clay, mirror glass, copper tear drops, millefiori and beads. Three finished hearts from mosaic camp. The color of the grout can really change the look of the finished mosaic. Amy T. used grey grout, while the others used black. The gray looks beautiful in her garden. The other students used black grout and their hearts are spectacular. The grout pulls the piece together and makes the glass pop. We had a fun week!

Literally, a happy camper. This was the first mosaic that she made. She did a beautiful job and now has a dynamite mosaic for her garden. I've had requests to offer "camp" again. A mosaic heart made by at mosaic summer camp with and . A job well done. This mosaic heart garden stake will live outside in the summer at Sara's home. I love the colors and bold yellow flower. It's a great piece of mosaic garden art!

The orange and blue pop because they are on opposite sides of the color wheel. What also makes this mirror interesting? The artist used different shapes of glass and went beyond the edges of the substrate. In addition to glass, she also used beads to offset the mirror. So, using opposing colors and varying the shape and size of tesserae, builds interest and creates an interesting design.
