Today's Kitchen Creations class is a lesson we prepared 2 weeks ago & the results are looking sooo yum.

While it's a wonderful skill to be able to work from a recipe, I believe, as a home cook of 17 years, that cooking on the fly, as well as creating your own recipes is a super important and useful skill for kids to learn.

Two classes ago everyone created their own Cereal Bar recipe based on ingredients they love.

Lessons learned:

*Resourcefulness
*Self trust
*How to build a recipe that tastes good & works!
*Fun & confidence!

The bars seen below are from one of our long time students who was in the classroom with us & just joined our ONLINE semester.

Today was so relaxing!

The kids finished old projects, started new ones & even baked up some Irish Soda Bread.

We tried something different today as well, which went awesome!

The kids created their own recipes to try out the next time we're in the kitchen. Will be posting soon to show how they came out!
