We had such a fun week in preschool. Our letter this week was the Letter B! We read “The Best Nest,” and “Angelina Ballerina.” We colored and made tissue paper Letter Bs and Bumble Bees. We practiced writing our numbers. We also explored our sense of taste by trying out different foods including dried apricots, dark and milk chocolate, salt and vinegar potato chips, lemons, and saltines.

Next week we’re going to starting learning the Letter C, our sense of sight, and exploring different colors.

Last week we learned letter “H” for “Halloween” and “Haunted House.” We worked on counting, addition, and writing numbers. We also got to make the scarecrow from one of our favorite books, “The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything.” We made a list of things that scare us, but talked about how they are mostly pretend, harmless, or even silly! A frightening, yet harmless spider even visited our classroom on Thursday to drive home the lesson. Of course Thursday and Friday were our Halloween Parties where we made spooky masks, Halloween shape collages, and haunted houses. We danced, showed off and modeled our costumes, and went trick-or-treating around the studio.
Next week we will review letters P, E, and H and continue working on our number recognition.
I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween!

This is a great video to watch, as it talks about knee drops. I love that she mentions that it should be silent. Meaning the dancer has enough control for it to be safe. Also notice she talks about using the outer part of the leg for safety!

This week we learned letter E and worked on our number writing and recognition. The highlight of the week was picking out pumpkins to paint and decorate with glitter! Next week we’ll learn letter H for Halloween! We are so excited for the Halloween party and to show off our costumes they we’ve been talking about since school started.
Reminder: if anyone would like a trick-or-great item to pass out, make sure it can be taken home for enjoyment! All next week is going to be spooky fun and we’ll be listening to Monster Mash on repeat 😂

Happy Friday! This week we learned letter “P,” practiced writing our names, and made some fall-themed art where we experimented with mixing fall colors! We also practiced counting, writing numbers, and and color sorting. Next week we’ll learn letter “E” and continue working on number writing and recognition.
Shoutout to K’s mom for making our cute new personalized masks!
