We love it when artists draw, sketch, and paint on site! Alex Maus Design and Jessica Cao stopped by this week. Here's some of their work in progress.

Bring your own sketchbook when you visit. We just ask that you stay mindful of other visitors and keep the trees easy for everyone to access and see.

If you'd like more company, Urban Sketchers Tacoma will join us at the museum on Friday July 24 when we stay open late, until 7pm. More info here: https://www.facebook.com/share/1HNPqTWBTZ/

Tag us if you sketch on a visit, we'd love to see what you make.

Our Volunteer Docents are in the museum many days of the week. When you visit, just look for their vests and ask them anything about bonsai!

When you feel like you need to "touch grass" remember you can take a "FOREST BATH." Free guided sessions--here at Pacific Bonsai Museum--on the Summer Solstice, Sunday, June 21.

Exciting news!!

Pacific Forest Bathing will be a vendor at this year’s Summer Bonsai Solstice event held at Pacific Bonsai Museum on June 21st from 4-8pm. The event is completely free, so bring your friends and family and enjoy some time outside! I will be leading two short walks and chatting with folks about forest therapy.

Hope to see everyone there! 🌱

This Saturday, PSBA Auction-goers will have the opportunity to raise their paddles in support of our goal of raising $20,000 towards the construction of our new Demonstration Pavilion.

This new shelter, designed by MITHĹŞN, will be located in our main exhibition area. The Pavilion will provide a dedicated outdoor workspace where our staff and volunteers can maintain our living collection in view of the public, and where volunteer docents can engage visitors in substantive, extended conversations about the history, science, and art of bonsai.

It will be the first purpose-built space at Pacific Bonsai Museum designed specifically for this kind of interpretive, open-practice engagement. We’re excited to invite you to be part of this important new educational resource for our community!

Learn more about how you can participate in the auction at: https://www.pugetsoundbonsai.org/auction (link in Profile).

One of our most often asked questions: Do you sell bonsai? So many people are inspired to start, or add to, their own living art collections. And this weekend you can!

The Puget Sound Bonsai Association will be holding its annual auction at Pacific Bonsai Museum on Saturday, June 6, starting at 10 a.m. Open to the public, with over 80 trees at various price points in both a silent and a live auction, there are options for everyone. They will also have pots, tools, and other bonsai-related items available.

And we will have an opportunity for you to raise your auction paddle to support Pacific Bonsai Museum's construction of a public bonsai demonstration pavilion!

Preview the trees in this year's auction and learn more about how you can participate at: https://www.pugetsoundbonsai.org/auction (link in Profile).
