Summer Fun – Skills for Life – Memories Forever
Sailing, Swimming, and Tennis Lessons at Taylor Pond in Auburn.

Why Sail?
Children who learn to sail will experience the Maine outdoors and learn lifelong skills including self-reliance, knots, teamwork, weather, sportsmanship, responsibility, and more while having adventures and fun with friends.

Sailing Lessons
Sailing lessons for kids from 8 to 18 are available on Taylor Pond in Auburn. Classes meet Monday through Friday in the afternoon at the Taylor Pond Yacht Club. All students must pass a basic swim test to participate in sailing classes. Students must wear a life preserver at all times on and near the water.

Swimming & Tennis Lessons
Swimming and tennis lessons are available in the morning.

Reminder! Do you have a collection of old, expired flares? Here's your chance to properly dispose of them. Swing by Hamilton Marine in Portland at 197 Presumpscot Street on Saturday, 26Aug from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and drop your expired flares with the Maine State Fire Marshal. Bravo Zulu to USCG Auxiliary Casco Bay Flotilla 2-1 and Friends of Casco Bay for helping coordinate.

Every kayak, canoe, paddle board, and row boat should have an IF FOUND sticker attached. They are available FOR FREE at http://uscgauxsoportlandme.com/ppages/phome.html . If your boat drifts away from the dock it will help us get it back to you. Each unnecessary search costs the tax payer tens of thousands of dollars. If it is a genuine case of a missing paddler, the IF FOUND sticker gives us contact information to find out when the paddler left shore and possibly their intended route. This can help reduce the search area and increase the chance for a successful rescue. There is no good reason NOT to have an IF FOUND sticker on your human powered vessel. Do the right thing, for yourself, for your family, for your community. Order your IF FOUND sticker today!

Summer Fun – Skills for Life – Memories

Sailing, Swimming, and Tennis lessons for kids from 8 to 18 are available on Taylor Pond in Auburn.

Sailing Lessons

Sailing lessons are in 2 week blocks starting on June 26, July 10, and July 24. Classes meet Monday through Friday from 1:30 to 5:00 at the Taylor Pond Yacht Club.

A Bonus Week of sailing from August 7 to 11 without charge is open to any sailor who has participated in any one of the three earlier sessions. Session blocks are $255 each with discounts for multiple sessions or membership at TPYC.
