Raise a glass with the Auburn Symphony on October 9th, 2026 (6pm - 8pm) at General Gomez Arts Center! At this exclusive Music & W**e-Pairing Fundraiser event, you’ll gain insight into the upcoming 2026/2027 season from Maestro Ryan Murray while tasting locally grown & fermented w**es with Court-of-Masters-certified sommelier Theo Popov. Theo is also a WSET Diploma in W**es recipient, award-winning composer, and professor! Proceeds from this event will support the 40th Anniversary Commission by Jonathan Bingham in the 2027/2028 season that will premiere at the Mondavi Center in Davis, CA!

We, the Auburn Symphony, are proud to play in the beautiful city of Auburn, California and collaborate in the community-minded region that is Placer County!

Our collaborations with galleries such as General Gomez, conservation groups such as Placer Land Trust, multi-talented artists from the Placer Artists Tour, established musicians, and budding musicians fulfills us and benefits all.

✨️ Hear a few heartfelt words from Joshua Voeltz (Flute II) about what it’s like to perform as an Auburn Symphony musician!

🎓 Originally hailing from North Bay, San Francisco, he is a Sacramento State graduate with a degree in Flute Performance.

🪈 He plays Flute, Piccolo, Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, and the rest of the woodwinds. It is his first year and second season playing with the Auburn Symphony, and he feels immense joy and gratitude to be able to share the stage with so many other talented musicians.

🎶 Joshua loves Tchaikovsky and Debussy. His favorite non-classical musical inspirations are deadmau5, Lady Gaga 💅🏼, Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Kim Petras, Tinashe, and musicals like West Side Story.

❤️ He has a full time job outside of the orchestra, but he lives to play, especially for his mom, who has been his biggest supporter since day one. 🫂
