✿ Hello !
The last two years, as I started and continued on my Pet Portrait business, there was also a new beginning of artificial generation leaving its sloppy mark on everything that it doesn’t need to !
While searching for craft fairs and event to attend for this coming fall and winter season, it was hard to not ignore the vast use of gen AI in majority of advertising.
I know I can speak for a lot of talented and passionate hand-crafters and artists when I say, AI use in any process of visual design for events such as these, don’t give artists confidence in your event.
I’m aware how ‘easy’ it is to generate what you want to a degree, but the message I and vendors receive from this unnecessary use is
1. You don’t mind stealing someone else’s work for your own benefit
2. You don’t mind coming off lazy to your attendees and
3. You’re choosing to ignore ALL of the negative impacts AI has on our environment, future jobs and the handmade market for personal gain.
✿ Instead of continuing to shun certain events or businesses due to their generative use, I wanted to create an easy and ethical solution, we really shouldn’t need in the first place!
✿ Pictured in this post is my new and first batch of Custom Flyer Templates! I’ve taken the work out of thinking up designs (like AI does) and created my own designs to choose from! From summer to winter, I have well themed pieces along with more generic styles for easier customizations. Working with me means you can make your flyer as unique to you or your event as you’d like, make mini changes without the whole image resetting (AI is bad at that) and get the bragging rights of a real artist taking their time for your business.
