Fall 2024 Concert Announcement

The AU Symphony will present their end of semester concert on the mainstage of the Telfair B Peet Theatre on Wednesday December 4 @ 7:30pm. The orchestra will be performing Copland’s Outdoor Overture and Franck’s Symphony in D minor.

Huge shoutout to Maestro Daniel Cho, Assistant Conductor of the Alabama Symphony, for taking the time to come and work with the AU Symphony on their December program of Copland and Franck while the A*O is town for their performances of the Wizard of Oz this week. Thank you, Maestro!!

AU Orchestras is excited to collaborate on an adaption of Floria from the opera Turandot by Dr. Pendowski on tonight's concert. Can't make it tonight? Then join us at Telfair Peet Theatre on Tueaday April 25th to hear this again alongside Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man and Suite from the ballet Hiawatha by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.
