Sundilla Concert Series & Radio Hour

Sundilla Concert Series & Radio Hour In 2023 we celebrated 30 years of bringing the best musicians from around the world to Auburn, AL... and we're still going strong! Don't be this person!

(And be sure to check out our syndicated radio show!) Somewhere, there is probably someone who lived in England in 1960 who turned down a chance to go to The Cavern Club because he had never heard of the band. "The band" in question was, of course, The Beatles. They went on to have a bit of success in the music business; enough success that the guy who didn't want to go see them play because he ha

d never heard of them is still kicking himself black-and-blue 40 years later. So when you're trying to decide whether or not you want to drag yourself out to see some unknown play at Sundilla, just remind yourself that every musician was once an unknown, and that every musician who sells out arenas for hundreds of dollars per ticket once played somewhere for under ten bucks. And someone who paid hundreds of dollars to sit in the last row of an arena once turned down the chance to sit on the first row of a small venue for next to nothing.

It's Act of Congress week! For the first time in too long, you get to enjoy ACT OF CONGRESS in concert at Sundilla! Showtime at the AUUF (450 E. Thach Avenue in Auburn) is 7:30, and there are still a few Advance tickets available for just $20; you can find them (while they last!) at Spicer's Music, LLC, Greystone Coffee and Tea House, and online at https://www.sundillaconcerts.com/buy-tickets. Admission at the door will be $25, and $15 for students. Free coffee, tea, water and food will be available, and the audience is welcome to bring their own favorite food or beverage.

Act of Congress is Birmingham's acoustic quartet — guitar, mandolin, fiddle, upright bass, and four-part harmony. Pop melodies on bluegrass instruments. The range of a ten-piece in the footprint of four chairs.

Together for almost twenty years, the band has performed across five continents as U.S. State Department Cultural Ambassadors — Thailand, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Philippines, Bali, Liberia, and Jordan among them. Highlights include performing for Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and a headline appearance at Jordan's celebrated Jerash Festival.

At home, Act of Congress has performed five times with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and is consistently named one of Alabama's must-see live acts. "Must-see" is not hyperbole; fans know that when the chance to see Act Of Congress presents itself, they will be there.

One week from today is ACT OF CONGRESS in concert at Sundilla!! Mark Friday August 28th on your calendar, and then be at the AUUF (450 E. Thach Avenue in Auburn) at 7:30 and find out what all the fuss is about. A limited number of $20 Advance tickets remain and can be found at Spicer's Music, LLC, Greystone Coffee and Tea House, and online at https://www.sundillaconcerts.com/buy-tickets. Admission at the door will be $25, and $15 for students.
For over 15 years, Act of Congress has crafted a sound that’s entirely their own, blending mandolin, violin, guitar, bass, and rich, layered harmonies into a genre-defying acoustic experience. What started as a passion for honest, expressive music has grown into a sought-after live experience around the world. Yes, around the world; they have completed FIVE tours as U.S. Cultural Ambassadors, led by the U.S. State Department. They have played in Thailand, Oman, Palau, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Philippines, Timor Leste, Bali, Liberia, and Jordan, and they had to beat out the best of the best to land those coveted gigs. They played for the Liberian President on that country’s Independence Day. Not bad for some kids from Birmingham who have been together for a little more than a decade.

Jessica Willis Fisher is a singer-songwriter-fiddler with a storyteller’s heart. Raised playing traditional folk music from an early age, she performed with her family band The Willis Clan in the Irish, Country, and Bluegrass music scenes and made appearances on the Grand Ole Opry and America’s Got Talent. Her Americana-leaning debut solo album “Brand New Day” (2022) features both deeply autobiographical lyrics and foot-stomping anthems. Her sophomore record “Blooming” (2025) is an ode to the power of knowing who we are, all our beautiful scars and vulnerable strengths included. If you love the voice of Alison Krauss. Jessica has the same sweet, beautiful tone and violin playing.

Jessica Willis Fisher has worn many hats in a short amount of time. Member of a family band (with her ELEVEN siblings!) Reality show star. Author. Advocate. But above all she is a singer-songwriter-fiddler (who also plays guitar and piano) with a storyteller’s heart. Raised playing traditional folk music from an early age, she performed with her family band in the Irish, Country, and Bluegrass music scenes and made appearances on the Grand Ole Opry and America’s Got Talent, as well as on their own series – plural --called The Willis Clan and The Willis Family.

In her early twenties she embarked on her solo career and has released two albums: “Brand New Day in 2022, and “Blooming” in 2025. In between she released her memoir, Unspeakable: Surviving My Childhood and Finding My Voice.
