Coastal Crafters . A Note From The Capers Family

First and foremost, we have to thank our customers for their continued support.

Our studio has been open in Auburn, MA since 2015. Starting off as a collaboration between local artists, our studio has transformed and grown tremendously in the past five years. We have had the pleasure of hosting birthday parties for well over a hundred children (some repeat customers, thank you so much!). You may have seen us in other states as we began traveling over a hundred-mile radius to

venues where we have hosted events with 100+ customers. Our studio is family-owned and operated; Michael is the main event host & artist, his wife, Laura (that's me), handles in-house and online organization & operations, and our children, Lilah & Nolan, act as our inspiration and are often in our studio creating, themselves. As a small business, it is incredibly important for us to support our community and act as partners to other small businesses. We host fundraiser events and are always looking for ways to give back. It is you, our valued customers, that have helped us continue to grow our small business, and to be able to meet so many new people and help people create! Additional Experience & Expertise


Michael has been doing custom paintings and drawings for over 5 years. He also has incredible wood working skills from creating custom concealment cabinets to loft beds. Prior to this, Michael's experience in sales and bartending has given him an advantage of leading a crowd. His skills in communicating the steps for the projects done at our events have been applauded by our customers. Customers who have never painted before have left with beautiful masterpieces and are always grateful for Michael's expertise, sense of humor, and ability to describe the steps involved. Laura's interest in art and design began as a little girl, rearranging her bedroom. In college she took a variety of art courses from watercolor painting to photography, developing a deep passion for working in the dark room. Since then after starting a family (with Michael...), she has been pursuing a career in teaching, and is taking graduate courses. Her combination of admiration for art & education helps to fuel her fire at home, at work, and at the studio.
