We are created in the image of the Supreme Artist! We are His workmanship. You are created in the image of the One who painted the sky, molded the landscape and desiigned the hummingbird. Just as our earthly parents pass on traits; the color of our eyes, hair, skin tone or tune of our laugh, so our Heavenly father has passed on His creativity.

Rainy days make for lovely walks and nature watching. Last week I was blessed to watch a deer in the woods, see a fresh dryads saddle mushroom, a very wet nuthatch and a fawn in the creek. Her momma was near by.

The summer art projects are popping up around downtown! My theme is based on the Gene Stratton Porter book “Girl of the Limberlost” and features four of the moths Elnora searches for in the swamp. Around the lower panels are titles of many of G.S.P.’s books including one of her nonfiction pieces titled “Moths of the Limberlost”.

What a fun week! I’m pleased to be apart of the Fort Wayne Artists Guild show, Venture in Creativity. This pastel painting based on a photograph I took of a bumblebee At Salamonie State Park won second place in the dry media category. The show at Saint Francis runs until the end of June.
