Join us this Wednesday, June 10 in the Carriage House Theater for three distinct talks exploring the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫˀ (Cayuga) Reoccupation of their Homelands after the 1779 Sullivan-Clinton Invasion, the Treaty of Cayuga Ferry (1795), and Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫˀ Community Perspectives on the Treaty of 1795. Admission is free.

Featured speakers include:

-Peter Whiteley, Curator of North American Ethnology & Curator-in-Charge of African & Pacific Ethnology, American Museum of Natural History

-Kurt Jordan, Professor of Anthropology at Cornell University

-Steve Henhawk, First-language Gayogohó:nǫˀ (Cayuga) speaker, Historian, and Faithkeeper

The program will begin at 6 PM with the Ganǫ́hǫnyǫhk (also known as the Thanksgiving Address, or the Words that Come Before All Else), given by Hoyá:neh Sam George (Gayogo̱hó:nǫˀ/Cayuga, Bear Clan). This program will be recorded by Auburn Regional Media Access and will be broadcast for public access.

Join us in the Carriage House Theater this Saturday, May 16 for a night of showstoppers! The Broadway Karaoke Party, hosted by the Auburn Players and Cayuga Museum, returns to the Carriage House Theater! Doors will open at 6:30 PM, and music will get started at 7. Admission is $10 at the door.

A cash bar is available, and anyone who chooses to join or renew a membership for either host organization will receive a one-time 10% discount at the bar. We'll see you there!
