🤠 One of the hottest dances of the year is coming to Auburn!

This Thursday, June 18th, I’ll be breaking down Choosin’ Texas—one of the most requested line dances I’ve had this year!

Whether you’ve been wanting to learn it from scratch or you’re looking to clean up your steps and feel more confident on the dance floor, this class is for you.

Already know Choosin’ Texas? Awesome! We’ll also be learning a few other popular dances, so there will be something for everyone.

✨ Smaller class sizes mean more personal attention, plenty of laughs, and lots of dancing.

Things people think about line dance instructors:

✔️ We know every dance.

Reality:

❌ We practice in our kitchen.

❌ We mess up.

❌ We occasionally forget the restart.

❌ We definitely have wall amnesia too.

At Boots on the Ground, I promise you one thing: if I mess up, we’re all laughing and figuring it out together. 😂

So tell me… what’s your funniest line dancing moment?

🤠 Why I Love These Smaller Classes…

One of my favorite things about these Auburn Parks & Recreation classes is the size of the group. Smaller classes mean less pressure, more personal attention, and more opportunities to ask questions.

If you’ve never line danced before, this is a fantastic place to start. And if you’ve been dancing for a while, it’s the perfect chance to tighten up your footwork, improve your timing, and build confidence before jumping onto a bigger dance floor.

I get to spend more one-on-one time helping you with those tricky turns, that step you always forget, or that dance you’ve been wanting to master. 😊

✨ No matter your experience level, you’ll be welcomed, encouraged, and reminded of one of my favorite sayings:

Nobody cares if you miss a step… they care that you showed up and had fun.

I’d love to dance with you!

🌟 It’s time for another Boots on the Ground Line Dancer Spotlight! 🌟

One of the things I love most about line dancing is the amazing people it brings together. Every dancer has a unique story, and this week we’re excited to introduce you to Jennifer - one of the wonderful members of our dance community.

Take a few minutes to read her story below and give her some love in the comments! ❤️🤠

‘I stated dancing with Boots on the Ground in late May at the Barnyard, it’s a great venue and I love dancing. I’ll be at every Wednesday I can ♥️

The first time I stepped onto the dance floor was thanks to one of my friends. She had always wanted to try line dancing, so we went. She did great, it didn’t click for me that first class however I stuck with it. Line dancing brought her and I closer not doubt about it!! We met every week for the lesson, practiced the dances during the week, made a list of dances we wanted to learn, and created a line dancing playlist.

My favorite dance even to this day is Miles on It, it was the dance that was my ‘aha’ moment for sure. It was the first dance I could hear the restarts and perhaps the dance that made some of line dancing click for me. Restarts made sense to me once it clicked, tags as well…well most of them sometimes at least 😁 some are just muscle memory to be honest because I don’t hear them in the music.

I love the vibe of Boots on the Ground and the community. I love watching the community grow and friendships being formed. I’m excited to be a part of it. ‘
