To the larger ATC family...another moment of reflection on the loss of someone important to our history. Dan Spittle could serve as the definition of “booster” during his tenure as a parent and supporter of the theatre, choir, and band programs while his three multi talented daughters, Meghann, Julie, and Alex, showcased their dedication and talent. Mr Spittle was the consummate sideline cheerleader for the programs, always serving in whatever capacity was needed at games, shows, festivals, etc. he did it all with a twinkle in his eye, a smirk in his lips, and a love that transcended explanation. He and his amazing wife Evelyn became the torch bearers and prime examples of what it means to a parent of an Avondale kid. God rest his soul...he fought his myriad of medical issues for so long. And God be with Evelyn and the whole family at this time. “Thanks” is an insufficient word for the gratitude we have for this mans contributions, quiet dedication, and pleasant persona.

To our ATC family, the greater Avondale community lost a very special person today. Mr Peter Henrici, one of the ATC's strongest and most dedicated supporters, passed away. He and his wife Noreen, who served as an Avondale Elementary reading specialist for generations of Avondale kids, attended every show, concert, football game and any other event involving AHS students. They both also met up with us in Edinburgh during one of our Fringe trips...all to see and support what we did. The Avondale community is a bit diminished today. Mr Henrici was an amazing, loving, giving, and kind man who loved the kids of our creative community so much he never stopped giving his time or energy for us. As Info on arrangements become formalized, I'll pass them along. But in the meantime, take a quiet moment to think about how those around us celebrate our lives and contributions. Mr Henrici was one of the best. He will live forever in our hearts and memories. He and Noreen are back together.

We had a great audition turnout at AHS and virtually for the upcoming Christmas alumni/student collaboration of The 1940s Radio Hour. As always, the immense talent presented a very difficult decision process, but that's always a good problem to have. With this cast, we have three major objectives. 1.) Create more opportunities than the script provides for additional cast members to not only take part, but to have featured moments to steal the spotlight. 2.) Simplifiy cast assignments to streamline our challenging rehearsal schedule. 3.) Create a mosaic of casting dynamics so that past alumni can pass on their experience and legacy to the current stewards of the ATC. If you did not audition but would like to be a part of the show, we would love to have you act as the in-show audience as long as you can provide your own period costume -- **that includes children**! So without further ado, the cast of The 1940s Radio Hour:
