The Mini Artists Club Welcome to TMAC Process Art Studio where we do fun art, not fine art! We are thrilled you are here! Creativity takes Courage! We believe every child is an artist!

In our studio we believe art is about the process and not the final product. There is so much that happens before an artist finally puts down their brush and says... 'ta-da!' and we are all about appreciating, embracing, and discovering new joy in every step of the day. as Piccaso (a world-famous artist) once said. We want our studio to be a place for fun, play, learning and joy to all our artists. So here is how it all works...

We provide our students with quality, age-appropriate materials, teach them skills and techniques of how to use them, and give them an invitation to create. There is no right or wrong way to do it. It's perfect just the way an artist wants to finish it... and we are all going to celebrate the journey, the effort, and the uncountable choices and decisions the artist had to make to get there...

Our Mini Artists explored the Japanese-inspired art technique of Kinusaiga, creating gorgeous sunflowers with colorful fabric and incredible details. Every piece was unique, and we absolutely LOVE how they turned out! 🌻🧵

Looking for an after-school activity where your child can create instead of just consume?

Our next Mini Artists Club session is all about experimenting, building, sculpting, layering, and getting creative!

Your child will explore projects such as:

🎨✨ More watercolor exploration today!

We continued practicing our watercolor skills and discovered how oil pastels and watercolor can create such cool effects! We also experimented with drawing with glue to create a fun watercolor resist.

And we’re already looking ahead! 👀 The artists prepped some of next week’s projects and explored different variations of the watercolor resist technique.

💡 Parent takeaway: These projects are about more than making something pretty! Kids are practicing fine-motor control, hand-eye coordination, planning, patience, and cause-and-effect as they experiment with how different materials react with watercolor. They’re also learning that in art, trying something new and seeing what happens is part of the process. 💛

I love watching their curiosity grow as they discover that a little experimentation can create some really amazing results! 🖌️💦✨

Is your child curious about art but doesn’t know where to start? This class is designed for beginner artists who are ready to explore, experiment, and build confidence through creativity!

We’ll be learning the basic elements of art—line, shape, form, color, texture, value, and space—through fun, hands-on projects that make learning art feel exciting and approachable.

🐦🎨 Today we made watercolor birdies using the wet-on-wet technique, exploring how colors blend and flow together to create something beautiful.

Since our classes are after school, I asked one of my students if she was tired today. Her response completely melted me:

“I could never be tired making art.” 🥹❤️

And honestly… that’s exactly why I love creating these little art moments for kids. ✨
