Swing by on Saturday the ARVBA Visitor Center for the closing reception for the Plein Air Exhibit. Be party to the judging of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize 🏆 . Join us for an Art Festival from 9-4pm with a focus on the Arts Community in Au Sable Forks and the surrounding North Country. Labor Day Chicken Dinner at 4:30. Pick up a $5 commemorative button and get discounts at local businesses on Saturday 9/5.

UJAC’s annual summer benefit! This year they’re throwing an honest-to-goodness shindig. Featuring performances by local and guest musicians, a silent auction of treasures (from local artists and businesses), door prizes, a mac and cheese cook-off and more! It’ll be a laid-back afternoon of good times, in support of future programming at the Lounge.

Sunday, August 23rd (2-4pm)

Featuring musical performances by:
Sheep Shank Magnus: Sheep Shank Magnus plays in the grey sand that lies between the musical genres. Faithful followers, they are. Chasing the next groove. (feat. members of Nubble Gene Baritot, Chris Radey, Christian Eggleston with Jon Ignatowski)
Isaac Newcomb: Isaac plays with texture and introspection, groove and self-deprecating humor in his unique flavor of alternative pop. His warm vocals nestle into soundscapes that blend synthesized and environmental sounds:
Special Guest Ali McGuirk: Ali McGuirk delivers a solo set highlighting her trademark soul sound with rootsy turns and raw rock ‘n’ roll detours.

⭐️Welcome Julia Gleich & Dancers!

The Brooklyn based contemporary ballet company, are back for a week-long residency hosted by Ausable Theater. A free public studio performance will be held Friday, August 7, at 6:30, hosted in collaboration with Tahawus Center 14234 Rte 9N, Main Street, Au Sable Forks. Seating is limited. Gleich Dances, an integral part of the non-profit collaborative arts organization , is a Brooklyn based contemporary ballet company focused on collaborations in contemporary ballet, recognizing and at times invoking the ballet relic of the past while bringing the tools of the form into contemporary contexts, creating a company identity which looks more like the people we might find next to us on the subway, exposing gender limitations, often using pointework as a tool for both men and women. Known for collaborations with visual artists, composers, and designers, including couture design studio Morgane Le Fay, Gleich Dances feature strong ensemble work with a narrative factor, often creating collective experiences from a series of individual interpretations of singular figures.

This marks the second time the company has been in residence sponsored by the Ausable Theater.
