I started Cen Cal Mobile Escape rooms on Jan 1st, 2018, after visiting an Escape Room in Colorado and falling in love with the live, immersive, game room experience. I knew immediately that I wanted to start an escape room business of my own, back in Merced County, where I have been a life long resident. I am a single mother of 3 and at the time, wasn’t able to quit my full time job as a 911 Dispatcher, so I came up with the idea to start a mobile escape room business. Being mobile allowed me to book parties and events on my days off. It also gave me the opportunity to do something I was passionate about and could share my creativity with my children. They love seeing my ideas and story lines come to life and look forward to “Mom” releasing a new games so they can play it, then add their own personal touches to it. It’s no secret that It immediately became a family run business.
Over the course of the last 2 years, the mobile escape room had become such a huge success, I knew I needed to expand and open a store front location. I really wanted to bring a fresh new form of entertainment to our community so I began my search to find the perfect location. The moment Blaker Brewery announced they were opening a new tap room out at the old, Castle Air Force Base, I knew exactly where I wanted to open my store. The location, the excitement, the atmosphere, and the community support is what makes a business successful and I knew that location would have it all. Along with the store, I plan on continuing to run the mobile escape room on a booking basis only for birthday parties, private events, and corporate team building.
The dream of owning my own escape room business would have not been possible without the love and support of my 3 amazing and hard working kids, Ryan, Megan & Easton. They have been with me every step of the way and our dream has finally come true. I also want to thank all of my customers that have stood behind the idea and made it what it is today. My family is very excited for the future of Cen Cal Escape Rooms and I can’t wait to see the growth that will come along with it. Our community needs family fun entertainment and that’s exactly what I plan to bring to it.
