I had a great opportunity to work on this Data East Back to the Future pinball machine for a good friend. The vertical upright kicker kept blowing the F5 fuse and eventually burnt up. I replaced the solenoid and diode on the VUK and determined it was an issue on the PPB board. Over the weekend, I replaced the Q5 drive transistor, R15 resistor and D17 diode. I also replaced the F5 5 amp fuse. I can’t wait to get this back in the machine and finally play some BTTF pinball!
