Arizona Jon and his pop made the trek to have a taste of Jersey fishing.. although the yellowfin wouldn’t cooperate en masse, they still knocked down the plentiful skipjack tuna and quality sized mahi’s before switching over to swording. Although skeptical at first, they were rewarded with this beautiful sword to take home and share with the landlubbers! Friends, fish, Phillies… the Blu Crew had our annual overnight trip partaking in the AC Offshore Challenge. Knocking yellowfin down and getting covered up by skipjack nonstop made for a hell of a time. Dead Bait Solutions and Dante Soriente | Magictail Outfitters made for easy work. Recent canyon run with a group of Brown alumni from all over the globe. Some bumpy and breezy conditions, but we found the fish! After some crashing tuna that couldn’t find the hook and a marlin thrashing our spread, the guys caught a handful of yellowfin including a 75lb stud yft. Great crew, great time. Can’t wait to have them back! Canyon fishing is in full swing!

John and his buddies had a helluva day… set our sights initially on marlin, but with a little action in the far distance, we trolled on over and BAM! Port long rigger went off like a sh***un and the 80w was screaming. Fast forward 3 hours, we finally landed this BEAUTIFUL 172lb Allison yellowfin. Fished for a few more hours and filled the box before headed west. The monster fell to a Sterling Tackle wide tracker and Offshore Bait and Tackle AC supplied all of the fresh ballyhoo and squids to fill the box!
