Part 3. About ten minutes later the sky opened up and it absolutely poured on us. We went from bone dry to completely soaked in about thirty seconds, and honestly all I could do was laugh. The beam got set and the crew kept rolling. I’m still drying out, and right now I could really use a cheesesteak and a coffee. ☕️

Round peg in a round hole kind of day. Let’s go!

Today was a square peg, round hole kind of day. The crane showed up ready to float this I-beam over the house, but the outriggers needed more room than the driveway had to give. Between the stem walls, the balcony, and the house itself, there just wasn’t a safe way to set up. So we’re regrouping and coming back tomorrow to try again.
