As members of the African American community, we wanted to create a space for our own to be able to read, discuss and share ideas about the books we read. The books are not limited to African American authors, but we wanted to create a space in which fellow African Americans can bond over good reads. We plan to vote on the book of the month so that everyone has input on what they'd like to read. We look forward to the creating memories through reading and fellowship.

Black Romance Book Fest ’26 was a TIME! 🖤📚✨

There’s something so special about being in a space filled with so many talented authors, content creators, readers, and romance lovers all celebrating the stories we love. From the conversations and connections to the laughter and bookish chaos, this weekend was one for the books. Literally.

And can we talk about the R&B Kickback and Bookchella?! Both events were absolutely EVERYTHING. The vibes, the energy, the people…it was unforgettable.

Some of my favorite moments happened on Sunday during the panels I moderated. Walking into rooms packed with readers, seeing standing-room-only crowds and getting the chance to discuss books alongside incredible authors was truly humbling. Thank you to everyone who showed up, asked questions, shared your enthusiasm, and made those conversations so memorable.

A huge thank you to for putting on another phenomenal event and for inviting me to be a part of such an amazing weekend. It’s an honor every single time.

Already counting down the days until we do it all again next year. ❤️📖✨
