📣IMMEDIATE TABLE READ CALL 🚨
🎥THE CHARACTERS:
TREY, a young Afro-Latino 20-something who works at his Tio’s Helado shop.
✨Trey couldn’t imagine working anywhere else. The community loves Benito’s Helados as much as Trey does. He is charming, caring, and has a strong sense of justice. If he sees someone being mistreated, he is the person who stands in the gap. Trey and Beni work together to make Benito’s Helados an environment where people from all walks of life can take a break from the world and enjoy a taste of home.
An AI-run ice cream shop, AI-rtisan Scoops opens up across the street. Trey is confident that his business will remain untouched. He couldn’t be more wrong. Trey is met with the fact that the ease of automation makes money, and gentrification is an unstoppable force.
✨BENI is a silly, but loving owner of Benito’s Helados. His greatest pleasure is serving his community and spreading joy one scoop at a time. When his business starts going under, he remains positive. He believes that what his business offers the community is priceless. Despite it all, he still manages to give, give, give. He is the voice of reason and Trey’s rock.
