After 29 years of DJing on and off together, I thought that chapter of my life had come to a close in March 2025 when my best friend Ian moved to Arizona. I fully expected to carry TWIJIT forward on my own until either I decided to stop, or the audience moved on.
Honestly, I had mixed feelings. On one hand, I was sad. Ian isnโt just my best friendโhe was my DJ partner. We shared a rare musical chemistry. I often said we finished each otherโs musical sentences, and truly believed that was one of the main drivers of our success. On the other hand, I was eager to prove to myself (and to our audience) that I could keep TWIJIT successful on my own. Iโm proud to say I did.
But the truth is, I never wanted to do this alone, and starting next month, I wonโt have to. Ian is coming back, and I couldnโt be more excited. To celebrate his return, please give him a follow on his new Facebook and Instagram pages: DJ Ian Lee on Facebook, and www.instagram.com/dj_ianlee/ on Instagram:
Before we look ahead, some thanks are in order. I had a lot of help keeping TWIJIT thriving, and Iโd be remiss not to acknowledge the guest DJs who made that possible: DJ Caz10, Brian Parris, Dom Price, Leah Paradox, Nicholas John, and Matt Roffman. I couldnโt have done it without you. You have my deepest gratitude.
Looking forward: When Ian and I DJ together, weโll simply be known as TWIJITโthe combination of our old DJ names, Twitch and DJIT, which we are officially retiring. When we play separately, weโll go by DJ Jonathan Edwards and DJ Ian Lee. So if you see TWIJIT on a lineup, it will always mean both of us.
And speaking of the future, 2027 is looking very bright for TWIJIT. We have a lot planned for you, but thatโs all we can say at the moment ๐ค
For now, Ian returns to Destination Unknown on September 26th. Letโs make it an extra special welcome-home celebration! ๐
