Conversations with Mark Twain with Kurt H. Sutton as Mark Twain and featuring Jerald Hill as The Riverboat Gambler was a hit this weekend at Ellijay’s Gilmer Arts Playhouse. The house was full of local legends partly shown in the picture. Kurt H. Sutton seated, Jerald Hill far left, Felton Dunn, musician(Banks and Shane) Felton’s friend, Dave Rode, musician (The famous Topper band) not shown was Barbara and Byron Hutson musician (retired) Jerald’s cousin Ellijay author Kathi Harper Hill and a special friend from Ellijay Jennifer Allen.

The human being is a machine. An automatic machine. It is composed of thousands of complex and delicate mechanisms, which perform their functions harmoniously and perfectly, in accordance with laws devised for their governance, and over which the man himself has no authority, no mastership, no control. Mark Twain will perform at the new Reinhardt Theatre, Reinhardt University, Waleska,GA March 30 and 31. The shows are sponsored by the University and are FREE.

Mark Twain and Mr. Clemens, Tonight! A show with the wit and humor of Mark Twain and the period music of Samuel Clemens.

Both shows were completely sold out at the Sautee Nacoochee Center last weekend. Thanks to all the people from the Helen area that supported the show. I look forward to seeing you again up the road. Well you know I like a good story well told. That is the reason I am sometimes forced to tell them myself.

Mark Twain will be at the Sautee Nacoochee Cultural Center Saturday Jan. 19, 7:30 and Sunday matinee on the 20th. Go to Sautee Nacoochee Center and go to the calender for more information on these shows. I will post a reminder after the holidays. Which we wish you happy ones.

Mark Twain will be appearing at the newly opened Reinhardt Theater, which is a state-of-the-art black box facility. This performances will be a Community Event which means it will be sponsored by the good folks at Reinhardt University and they will not charge admission; it is their gift to the community. Seating will be general, and the venue seats about 200. Shows are March 30th and 31st. The times for the shows are 7:30 pm and 3:00 pm matinee. I will post again nearer to the event.
