Mexico has Katrina to represent their feminine Skeleton in traditional dress
Meet Dorothy.
She didn’t know any better, she believed all the hype, held her family close, & set off into the mountains & prairies, & had boundless faith her family would know a better life in the West.
I belong to a long history of these brave souls - even if they were misguided - & i’m here to stand for the people who were here before, & those of us who were born after.
we can all remember our histories while making better communities for ourselves that are Diverse, Equal, & Inclusive to make a better place to exist in for all.

I got this beautiful pattern from by for a skeleton in a skirt, so i traced her, added a prairie bonnet & some new designs on her skirt to make her more appropriate for women pioneering the west only to d*e of dysentery, left destitute when their husband d*ed, or scalped by the people who owned the land in the first place 🏞️

I have three different Dorothy designs to play with now, I hope you like her 🤍
