Cheers to 52! So Amazingly BLESSED to kick off my birthday week in Chicago! We had wonderful opportunities to engage with brilliant people full of purpose, fortitude and inspiration. This trip was especially meaning to us due to our ViZion Dance, Inc project which debuted at the Carter Center over a decade ago “ Obama. The Legacy. Reclaiming The Dream” which gave insight into the life and times of President Obama as well as social change ( all depicted through music and theatrical dance) . Being able to engage with the President of the Obama Presidential Library as well as people that were key to its installation and Pres Obama’s career was so inspirational during this trip. Hubby even presented at a conference partially hosted in the center’s meeting room while First Lady Michelle Obama was onsite. We also had an opportunity to visit the powerful Anne Frank exhibit at the Griffin Museum of Science & Industry. This was the Spark for greater things to come! Stay tuned! 👀💫

Sometimes the work is the performance. Sometimes it’s the preparation. And sometimes…it’s simply being in the room where relationships, inspiration and possibilities meet. 💫

What an incredible Stellar Gospel Music Awards weekend representing ViZion Dance Inc. & ViZion Dance International…reconnecting with longtime friends, celebrating phenomenal artists, building new relationships and experiencing the creativity shaping faith, music and culture!

A very special thank you to our longtime ViZion family, Mali Music , for the love extended to us throughout the weekend. Some relationships transcend projects, stages and seasons, and we’re grateful for every chapter of the journey. 🙏🏾💜

Twenty years into this journey, I’m still reminded that relationships matter, authenticity matters, and the seeds we plant through the arts can continue growing for YEARS.

We came home FULL…full of gratitude, inspiration, new connections and definitely full of ViZion. 👀🔥

As we celebrate 20 years of ViZion Dance International and 10 years of ViZion Dance Inc., we’re not simply looking back at what we’ve built…

We’re carrying the ViZion forward! 💫
