We are SPEECHLESS... and that’s saying a lot for a group of theatre folks! What an incredible way to begin our run of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Thank you for helping us celebrate a SOLD OUT Opening Night and for showing so much love to our phenomenal cast and creative team. The magic was real, and we’re just getting started.

Missed Opening Night? No worries, kings and queens! The royal ball continues through July 5th, and there are plenty of opportunities to experience the magic.

Rumor has it that our Cinderella is a , pulling at the hearts and strings of the audience through every scene.

Jai’Len Josey’s portrayal of Cinderella has captivated us from the very first rehearsal. She brings heart, grace, humor, and a fresh perspective to this beloved role, creating a Cinderella that audiences will never forget.

An Atlanta native, Jai’Len is an acclaimed actress, singer, writer, and producer whose career spans Broadway, Off-Broadway, television, film, and voiceover. We are deeply in awe of her talent, artistry, and the life she has breathed into this production. Opening night awaits!

Aunt Gabriel, this one’s for YOU!

Tonight marks our final pre-show before OPENING NIGHT tomorrow, and we are more than ready for the ball.

As we count down to the moment the curtain rises, it’s only right that we shine a spotlight on our brilliant Director and Choreographer, Juel D. Lane. Through countless rehearsals, long days, and late nights, Juel has poured his artistry, vision, and heart into every step of this production.

A multifaceted artist celebrated for his bold creativity and powerful storytelling through movement, Juel has performed with acclaimed companies including Ronald K. Brown/EVIDENCE and Camille A. Brown & Dancers. His choreography has been featured by Ailey II, Atlanta Ballet, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, BODYTRAFFIC, and more, leaving an indelible mark on stages across the country. Today, he continues to champion the next generation of artists as Director of the UNCSA Choreographic Institute.

Thank you, Juel, for leading this cast and creative team with excellence, imagination, and purpose. Atlanta, get ready. This Cinderella is something special.

A royal invitation from Prince Topher himself!

Before the curtain rose on Cinderella, Brandon L. Smith took us behind the scenes from auditions to opening night, giving us an exclusive look at the journey to Cinderella! An Atlanta native making his True Colors Theatre Company debut, Brandon brings heart, charm, and plenty of royal flair to the stage as Prince Topher. You may have seen him in The Wiz, Frozen, Girl From the North Country, Legally Blonde: The Musical, and productions with Alliance Theatre, Actor’s Express, and more.

Follow along as Brandon takes us backstage, shares a few pre-show moments, and prepares to step into the crown. The prince is having a BALL!!!!

Meet the Mother’s of the BALLLL: Avis LaShawn as the Fairy Godmother and Ithica Tell as the Stepmother.

Avis is a powerhouse performer from Atlanta, and has captivated audiences through music and theatre for decades, sharing stages with legendary artists including LaShun Pace, Dottie Peoples, and Earnest Pugh. From portraying Etta James in At Last: Etta James Tribute to starring alongside Tony Award winner Hinton Battle, her artistry continues to inspire and entertain audiences everywhere.

Joining her is acclaimed actor, singer, and voiceover artist Ithica Tell. An award-winning performer with an impressive career spanning national and international stages, Ithica’s credits include Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Othello, Crowns, Jesus Christ Superstar, and appearances on Grimm, The Librarians, and CW Seed’s Life After First Failure. Her commanding presence and versatility make her the perfect Stepmother.

Bringing charm, heart, and plenty of personality to the stage, we’re thrilled to welcome Victor back to True Colors Theatre Company. An award-winning performer, recording artist, and creative director, Victor is known for captivating audiences through music, movement, and storytelling that always hits the right note.
