This made my week: my Go Go Ginkgo earrings featured in New Orleans Magazine’s Spring Fling. Gold ginkgo leaves — they catch the breeze and go with everything, jeans-and-a-tee to all dressed up.

They’ve sold out (!) — DM me and I’ll add you to the list for the next pair.

NYC leaves me always inspired!

I’ve walked into C.O. Bigelow on Broadway several times in my life, but somehow never realized it was a working compounding pharmacy, and this time left feeling like I’d been through a museum.

It’s the oldest apothecary in the country — 1838 — and in the private offices upstairs they’ve kept all of it: original prescription books, apothecary jars, recipes written out by hand. My friend Daina Nadler walked me through the whole thing, and I could have stayed for hours.

What stuck with me is what they choose to stand for. Almost every brand on the shelves is family-run with real history behind it. And they treat art like it belongs in a pharmacy — the chairs you wait in are upcycled from luxury handbags. Countless artist collaborations on their walls and products. I love a thoughtful and intentional approach in retail — an industry that gets more and more fast-tracked every day.

The rest of the city kept the theme going: Tiffany boxes floating over tea, Dior’s rainbow happiness staircase, a very fun diamond-district stop with Ouf! Fine Jewelry (🗣oof). New York folds art into everyday life — my kind of city.

Where should I go next time?

“Costume Art” delivered. If anyone ever questioned whether clothes should be categorized as art, they need to step into this year’s Met exhibit.

The tailoring, the drapery, the adornment of sequin, feather, shell, and sparkle… Each piece next to the painting or the marble it’s been in conversation with all along. A dress of feathers beside the Van Gogh irises it’s quoting. A sequined goddess beside the sculptures she came from.

I took about nine hundred photos. Tell me which one you’d actually wear.

Behind one of my favorite dinners in New York is a door most people walk right past. 57 Great Jones — Jean-Michel Basquiat’s last studio, where he lived and worked from 1983 until 1988. Warhol owned the building and rented it to him. Angelina Jolie has the space now, and she left the outside exactly as it’s always been: a wall that’s been collecting art on top of art for decades.

I only know it’s there because of Daina Nadler. We met right here on Instagram — one of those friendships that happened instantly and somehow feels much older than it is — and she has one of the best eyes in this city. Over dinner at il Buco Alimentari & Vineria she told me about the studio next door, knew it would get me, and made sure I saw it before we left. The best parts of New York get handed to you by people who actually know you.

Some art you go to a gallery to see. Some of it is just the building.

Investment piece or trend piece? There’s a test.
An investment piece is made — signed by a working artist, built to outlast its moment. A trend piece is manufactured by no one in particular, built for the moment.

Trend pieces fill closets. Investment pieces become heirlooms.

Not sure which is which when you’re standing in front of it? That’s what I’m for.

Art on the walls, always. But walls that are art? Yes, please.

Atlanta artist Laurie dillon jones hand-painted this nursery — every squiggle by brush, turning the whole room into one soft, joyful canvas.

Swipe to watch her paint it.

A room like this doesn’t get decorated around art — the art becomes the room.

Dreaming about something like this for your own space? DM me — finding the right artist and making it happen is what I do.

So, given the circumstances of it being Monday, I’m going to need to go shopping.

I worked with this client across her home, but the dining room was the holdout. A few pieces looked beautiful and still didn’t quite ring true — not wrong, just not hers. Then these two Andrea Curtis paintings came up, and she knew on sight. We claimed them in the pre-sale, before they went public.

That’s a quiet part of what I do: because I work closely with galleries and artists, I often see new work before it’s released — so when something lands that’s right for you, I send it straight over. You get first look, and a real shot at it before it’s gone.

The right piece never needs a pro-and-con list — when it’s yours, you feel it. So if you’re stuck in the in-between, that’s when to call me.

Paintings by . What’s something you knew was yours the moment you saw it?
