We seek to achieve the highest professional quality in a supportive working environment, and expect excellence from the artists, staff and volunteers with whom we work. Creation and Innovation Through New Works
We value creativity and innovation in all aspects of our organization, including the work of our artists and the ways that we support them. We are committed to offering local playwrights the opportunity to bring their work to the stage, with full productions, staged readings, and workshops. We work creatively to use the resources we have available and will never work beyond our means. While we appreciate the generous donations of our patrons and the availability of grants, we will never count on them as a budgeted income, rather use them for capital improvements or specific production needs. We will uphold our covenant as a not-for-profit institution by being reliable stewards of the public trust and the resources provided to us by our community. Community Collaboration
Beyond the “box,” we seek to work cooperatively with other groups, organizations and people to expand the possibilities of the types and size of productions we create. By working together, we are able to take advantage of the individual strengths to create a dynamic theatrical experience.

I'm going on vacation tomorrow and apparently Jared decided that means he owns the Den.

He has gone completely rogue.

The chairs have moved. The ladders are out. Paintings are everywhere. There are mannequins involved. At some point I gave up asking questions and relocated my office to the lobby.

And now I’m actually leaving town, so there is absolutely no telling what I’ll come back to.

Honestly, you should probably see it before I do.

The Wedded Youngs have taken over The Creator’s Den for the Artisan Resource Center Reopening, and whatever this has become opens Friday.

Come see the chaos while it’s still technically under control.

A writer is led in blindfolded. His fairy tales match a string of child murders. Now his stories are evidence.

ArtsATL critic Andrew Alexander calls The Pillowman “a wild ride into the dark.” He describes a production where the audience feels “inside the action,” with the intimacy of the space making the interrogation especially effective.

Alexander praises Dani Herd, Ben Barlow, Emily Marie Lester and Nicholas Tycho Reed, finding fear, humor, humanity and complexity in all four performances.

Director Zip Rampy strips the production down and lets the writing, the actors and the stories do the damage.

Nearly three hours. Alexander says he was hooked throughout.

The last story ends Sunday.
