🎂 HAPPY 23rd BIRTHDAY, KIRK! 🎬

Today seems like the perfect day to officially launch our Seed&Spark campaign for Poetry In Motion — because one of the film’s cast members happens to be celebrating his 23rd birthday today.

And, okay… he also happens to be my kid. ❤️

Kirk plays Nique in Poetry In Motion, and on August 25th, he’ll be making his BIG SCREEN WORLD PREMIERE when the film screens at the Nightpiece Film Festival at the Edinburgh Fringe! 🇬🇧🎥

Not a bad birthday present.

Poetry In Motion has been a labor of love for all of us at Silk Purse Collective, and now we’re asking our friends, family, fellow artists and film lovers to help us get this little film out into the world.

Our Seed&Spark campaign will help us take Poetry In Motion through its festival journey — festival submissions, screenings, travel, promotion and expanding the audience for the film over the year ahead.

So, in honor of Kirk’s birthday, help us PUT POETRY IN MOTION IN MOTION!

🎁 Skip buying Kirk a birthday beer and throw a few bucks toward his movie instead. 😂

Every contribution helps. Every share helps. Every person who joins us on this journey helps.

Donate, follow and share our Seed&Spark campaign:

Happy Birthday, Kirk.

Next stop… Edinburgh. 🎬🏃‍♂️✨

Grieving poet and college professor Sebastian impulsively joins a charity 5K, where memories of a family lost to a school shooting collide with an unexpected revelation, challenging everything he believes about grief, family, forgiveness, and new beginnings.
