It’s with a very heavy heart I share with you the passing of a wonderful man, supporter, friend, and event ally - Jeff Sams. He passed Thursday, August 20th from battling cancer. Jeff was always the most gracious, loving, and accepting people I’ve met in Atlanta.
Per his estate “Jeff was clear that he wanted something good to come of this and others to be helped. If you would like to make a Memorial Donation in his name, please donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the Emory Winship Cancer Institute Lymphoma Fund.”
If you have not heard from a friend since lockdown this past March, I encourage you to call each other to check in and see how “he / she / or they” are doing. Texting, seeing or not seeing others on Social Media, or expecting to “see someone” when the current heath crisis clears is not enough. I wish each of you safety and look forward to when we can all reunite as one in the future.
