Around 4,000 years ago, an artist from Kemet carved this remarkable woman from fig wood, depicting her carrying a basket of offerings on her head and a jug in her hand. Her patterned dress and nice hairstyle reveal the attention given to even the smallest details.

Known as an “Offering Bearer,” this figurine dates to the early 12th Dynasty and is now housed in the Louvre Museum.

Although much of the statue’s original natural brown coloration has been damaged or lost over the millennia, traces of that brown pigment remain visible on her face, a precious detail connecting us to the colors of the ancient world.

Figures like this were placed in tombs to symbolically provide the deceased with food and drink for eternity. In the beliefs of ancient Kemet, nourishment was essential not only in life, but also in the afterlife.

😮 In London, a mysterious portrait of two 17th-century teenagers is the subject of a collaborative investigation.

This 1626 painting could be one of the earliest known full-length portraits of a young Black person, depicted alongside a white peer in an almost identical manner. The public and numerous experts have been invited to help uncover the origins of the artwork and identify the two figures.

The painting has no title and no signature. Only a date: 1626, and two figures standing side by side. On the left, a white boy of around twelve, richly dressed; on the right, a Black boy wearing similar clothing and appearing to be the same age. Who are they? Since September 17, visitors to the National Portrait Gallery have been asking themselves this question, as the mystery remains unsolved.

The painting is believed to be “the earliest known full-length portrait of a person of African descent in British art,” according to the London museum, which will display the work until March 2028, before it returns to the English castle where it has hung since the 18th century.

The Ankh (☥) is an ancient Egyptian symbol shaped like a cross with a loop. It represents life, immortality, and balance between masculine and feminine forces. Used by pharaohs and gods, it symbolized the “breath of life” and was worn as a protective amulet. Today, it remains a powerful sign of African heritage, spirituality, and resilience.

The prognathism of the Sphinx does not match that of present-day Egyptians (Arabgyptians)

The Sphinx stands as one of the most significant pieces of evidence that our ancestors carved in stone for eternity.

Regardless of how multiethnic Kemet became over time through migrations, conquests, and foreign influences, it was originally an African civilization.

We were there from the beginning. We built this civilization. The Aragyptians, as well as the Greco-Roman and Coptic populations who later inhabited the land, arrived long after its foundations had been established.

Breaking the noses of statues will not change history. The evidence remains overwhelming😊

For the b¡gots who will say that the head has been recarved from a lion's. The recarving theory is a complete myth, there is absolutely no tangible proof of it.

But if So, when they recarved the Sphinx from a lion's head into a human head, why didn't they change the prognathism to a Caucasian profile? At they recarved it to African profile to look like themselves!
