Join us as we promote inclusion of the Asian-American voice in our Atlanta community! Unproducible Plays: Year of Asian Voices focuses on highlighting Asian Artists and creating conversations in the Atlanta Theatre community. We are interested in creating conversation around what makes certain plays "unproducible." This year we are focusing on Asian plays and are asking questions about the challen
ges of producing plays by Asian playwrights and/or plays with Asian characters. . The Ask: We'd like you to participate in the conversation. Listed below are three conversations/events scheduled over the next year. Each event has a community conversation component among arts leaders, arts patrons, community leaders and artists. These facilitated conversations are casual small group discussions meant to connect people and discuss challenges facing the community around producing Asian work. The first two plays have been cast but we are looking for Asian artists in Atlanta to get involved in our summer festival. The Events:
Nov 17th at 7Stages: Reading Art of Gaman by Dipika Guha at 8pm
(pre show reception at 7pm and talk back after the reading)
