We at Zero Circle Theatre Company wholeheartedly support the protests and the protesters around the country who are fighting for justice. We grieve for Tony McDade, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and the countless other Black lives that have been murdered by the United States’ militarized police force and we decry the cowardice from our elected officials who have clearly stood in service towards upholding the evils of white supremacy.

In our short history as a theatre company, we have always believed in the power of inclusive and diverse storytelling, but we have failed to sufficiently amplify the voices of our Black colleagues in Atlanta’s theatre community. The time for empty platitudes is over. We have failed, so we must commit to doing better.

Zero Circle’s core company members have made individual donations to organizations such as the George Floyd Memorial Fund, the Missouri Freedom Fund, the Atlanta Solidarity Fund, and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. We are also making a donation as a company to Black Lives Matter and the Black Visions Collective, which specifically supports q***r and trans Black people.

We’re walking in memory of Michael Friedman, composer/lyricist of our inaugural production of Love’s Labour’s Lost, who tragically passed away due to complications from HIV/AIDS two years ago today. This is Zero Circle’s second year participating in AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run, and we couldn’t be prouder to be giving back to this beautiful city. You still have three weeks to join our team. We participated last year in memory of Michael Friedman, composer of Love's Labour's Lost, who passed away from complications from HIV/AIDS at age 41 on September 9, 2017. That same year, Georgia was ranked second in the nation for total number of adults and adolescents diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. All proceeds from this fundraiser go directly to AID Atlanta - The Official Page and other organizations committed to benefiting individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Atlanta.

We were so proud to participate this year. Help us give back to this beautiful city. We'll see you on September 29th.

Caty Bergmark (Viola) is a founding member of Zero Circle and is pleased as punch to be part of this year’s Fringe lineup. Recent credits include LOVE & MONEY (ART Station), THE ETHEL MERMAN DISCO CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR!, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW (Out Front Theatre Company), LOVE’S LABOUR’S LOST, A NEW BRAIN (Zero Circle Theatre Company), and URINETOWN (Act3). She is very excited to be making her directorial debut this fall with the musical BABY at Act3. Jasmine Thomas (Olivia) is excited to be working with Zero Circle Theatre Company and the Atlanta Fringe Festival! She was a member of Horizon Theatre’s 2015-2016 Acting Apprentice Company and graduated from UGA (‘15) with B.A. in Theatre and a minor in French. Jake Krakovsky (Sebas) is delighted to make his Zero Circle Theatre Co. debut! A lifelong ATLien and graduate of Emory University, Jake works as an actor, puppeteer, writer, and teaching artist. He also devised and creates original theater and puppetry pieces, teaches workshops for schools and universities, and serves productions at various local companies as a coach of puppetry, clowning, and physical theater. Most recently, he performed the titular role in the debut production of HAROLD AND THE PURPLE CRAYON at the Center for Puppetry Arts. Jake is a 2018/2019 Reiser Atlanta Artists Lab fellow at the Alliance Theatre.

Daniel Hilton (The Doctor) is a proud founder of Zero Circle Theatre and an even prouder friend of these fine theatre folk. As an actor, he has appeared as Moth in LOVE’S LABOUR’S LOST, Gordon in A NEW BRAIN (both with Zero Circle), as well as other roles such as Robert in DON’T DRESS FOR DINNER, Smee in PETER PAN AND WENDY (Aurora Theatre), Jasper in THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD (Stage Door Players), Czolgosz in ASSASSINS (Fabrefaction), and Ed/Papi in AND THEN THEY CAME FOR ME (Georgia Ensemble). He also composes original music, plays the piano nearly incessantly, and talks a lot about Shakespeare.

Josh Brook (Toby) is ecstatic to be working with such wonderful people on such a creative and hilarious script.
