At SITE on October 3rd: D(i)generation by Gresham Cash (Gresham Cash).

D(i)generation is an audiovisual installation that highlights the impact of digital waste and the need for its proper disposal. The project is constructed of materials found around Atlanta at illegal dumping sites, along the road, and from second-hand sources. By situating digital elements–screens, speakers, projection–in sculptural structures throughout the installation, the outsize impact of digital waste is obscured by large waste. With materials sourced from the wayside of Atlanta, the project reemphasizes the problem as a local one.

Ultimately, it encourages spectators to consider proper disposal of their waste–from appliances to old phones. Although digital waste is only a small percentage of overall waste by volume, its toxicity and reusable precious metals suggest that proper recycling and reuse is paramount.

As a transdisciplinary artist and filmmaker, Gresham Cash (b. 1988, Atlanta, USA) investigates how mediated environments shape cognition through post-digital uses of sound, video, and sculpture. By blending spatial sound and multichannel video, noise and glitch aesthetics, and music and dance, his installations, video art, and performances engage with ongoing debates about technological immersion, media saturation, and attention economies.

At SITE on October 3rd, encounter INTERCONNECTED by Living Walls (Living Walls) and Addam Yekutieli (Addam Yekutieli aka Know Hope).

Through deep collaboration with Addam Yekutieli, Living Walls presents a site-specific installation of his ongoing banner series. The project emerges from an ongoing exchange shaped by conversations around grief, displacement, witnessing, political responsibility, and the uneven conditions surrounding our respective lived contexts in occupied Palestine and Atlanta. Installed in a tiled composition across the wall, the banner texts originate from a series of open-ended prompts concerning memory, oppression, coercion, rupture, and transformation—questions surrounding changed trust, experiences of powerlessness, or places becoming unrecognizable over time.

At its core, the installation considers how collective grief and resistance are carried, translated, and reshaped through public encounter. Like the conditions from which it emerges, the work remains unresolved.

Addam Yekutieli (b. 1986, USA) is a multidisciplinary artist based in occupied Palestine whose work explores cross-cultural encounters, memory, and the entanglement of historical and personal narratives. Working across mixed media, installation, photography, text, and public interventions, his practice places particular emphasis on language and its interaction with place and environment. For nearly two decades, Yekutieli has facilitated participatory projects with communities worldwide, with a sustained focus on work in occupied Palestine. His work engages the intersections of the collective, the personal, and the political, employing an aesthetic of ambiguity aimed at fostering intuitive and empathetic connections, and opening space for re-imagining broader social and political realities.

Living Walls seeks to change the industry of public art by creating more space, visibility, representation & celebration for women, people of color, and LGBTQIA+ voices. Founded in 2010, we have produced over 500 works of public art in Atlanta and beyond, working with artists from all over the world.

Navin Norling (b. 1970) explores classic Americana through assemblage, combining pop culture, folklore, and salvaged materials to investigate the sociopolitical landscape of the U.S. Raised in suburban California but shaped by summers on his grandfather’s Bakersfield farm, he absorbed a resourceful ethic early on. His work integrates this rural reuse with the gritty visual language of Bay Area Street culture using; graLiti, wheat paste, and signage to create a personal aesthetic rooted in bricolage. Trained as a painter, Norling earned a BFA from California College of the Arts in 1995, where exposure to Raymond Saunders deepened his commitment to found materials. He later received an MFA from Hunter College in 2002 after relocating to New York. His practice blends painting, sculpture, and installation, often incorporating cast-oL wood and urban detritus. Norling’s humorous yet critical lens addresses power, class, and geography with accessibility across cultural lines. He is currently a professor at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

At SITE on October 3rd, experience Goose Song by Ollie Goss (ollie goss).

Goose Song is a DIY carnival ride with its own set of rules and regulations. Video, projection, and the 17th century poem “Goose and the Commons” bring viewers to questions of water rights and collectivity. The film follows a goose who, after a frustrating town meeting, rallies their fellow geese to seize a local swimming pool.

Ollie Goss is a Philadelphia-based artist, puppeteer, and performance-maker whose work blends installation, animated objects, and re-tooled electronics. They create surreal, participatory worlds that interrogate the built environment and power structures. In 2016, they received the Watson Fellowship to research puppetry internationally. They hold an MFA in Sculpture from Tyler School of Art and are a member of Vox Populi.

“OCULUCIS” is a light art installation that takes shape through two monumental luminous eyes, suspended in space as enigmatic and silent presences. These eyes are not mere symbols of vision, but thresholds of meaning: they gaze at the viewer and, at the same time, invite them to question what it truly means to “see.”

At SITE on October 3rd, experience DIFFUSION_2, a performance by artist Brandon Sadler (Brandon Sadler) in collaboration with musician Rocko Walker.

Through DIFFUSION_2 artist Brandon Sadler will produce a 36 Ă— 20 foot calligraphic work, utilizing his Single Word Character System, which he has developed through years of study in Chinese calligraphy, philosophy, graffiti writing, and text design. Sadler will use a 2.5 gallon fire extinguisher filled with enamel, capable of projecting paint streams up to fifty feet, pushing the reach and force of each mark.

Performing writing through his Single Word Character system centers movement as a direct record of energy, and this tool extends the physical limits of that expression. Its use also directly references graffiti practices (specifically fire extinguisher tags) foregrounding the origins of Sadler’s visual language. The performance is the second movement of DIFFUSION, and will be created in collaboration with musician Rocko Walker to generate an immersive environment.

Brandon Sadler is an interdisciplinary artist based in Atlanta, Georgia. His practice merges painting, calligraphy, installation, performance, and murals with East Asian philosophy, African American Southern identity, Hip Hop, and Abstract Expressionism. Sadler’s work has been exhibited internationally and is held in museums and private collections around the world. He is represented by Fu Qiumeng Fine Art in New York.

At SITE on October 3rd, experience PUPPET by 1024 architecture ().

PUPPET is an innovative audiovisual installation that merges gaming mechanics with live music composition. At the crossroads of a video game and digital instrument, this interactive piece invites visitors to manipulate a puppet-like character that functions as a sound synthesizer. Each movement or gesture of the puppet triggers a corresponding musical element—melody, rhythm, or effect—allowing the participant to compose a track in real time.

Developed in collaboration between 1024 architecture and iconic French electronic music producer Vitalic (), PUPPET offers a playful and intuitive experience of music creation. The installation transforms the visitor into a performer, blurring the lines between spectator and composer, play and performance, interactivity and expression.

This project is made possible with support from Villa Albertine Atlanta (.albertine).

1024 architecture is a creative studio founded in 2007 by Pier Schneider and François Wunschel, both architects by training and artists by inclination. At the crossroads of architecture, design, and visual arts, 1024 architecture explores new ways of animating space by merging built and digital matter. Tusk Official (Tusk) presents J BAH BLVD: a one-night-only pop-up event at Rampant Gallery (Rampant Gallery) on Sunday, August 30th.

Local skate crew Tusk returns to Rampant Gallery with a new short film premiere and an accompanying pop-up exhibition documenting skate culture in Atlanta. Featuring new sculptures by Julian Bah, artwork by Dr. Dax and Freako Rico, and photographs by Bon Allinson, Chris Smith, and Nick Gunter, this event brings together a group of legendary Atlanta skaters, artists, photographers, and filmmakers to highlight the Atlanta rollerblading scene and showcase important local contributors to the community.
