September 17-19, 2026 at 7 Stages, join us for a unique work that transcends the boundaries of traditional performance art. 'A Meal' is a live experience that is part ritual, part celebration, part installation, and part shared cooking experience, brought to life by the critically acclaimed multidisciplinary artist duo Ximena Garnica and Shige Moriya.

This immersive experience takes you through a series of vignettes where you'll partake in the act of cooking and eating together, witness performances by mythological creatures, and encounter offering songs and evocative sound/video movement installations. The layered work features evocative images and dances, resonating with our post-industrial relationship with food and the Japanese and Colombian roots of the co-creators.

For A Meal, Ximena and Shige bring together new and long-time collaborators to their LEIMAY Ensemble, alongside guest performers, composers, and vocalists. These include Masanori Asahara, Krystel Mazzeo, Akane Little, Synead Cidney Nichols and Drew Sensue-Weinstein. Join us for a memorable journey that celebrates food, culture, and community.

July 24 & 25, Youth Creates presents their original play HUMAN MIND!
Each summer the Youth Creates ensemble work together to create an original stage production from scratch. This year, the ensemble has devised "Human Mind", a play dealing with artificial intelligence and its impact. Join us July 24 & 25 at 7 Stages to see what the teen ensemble has to say about this powerful new technology and to support their work!

Youth Creates 2026 is on!

Photo 1 - Youth Creates alum and Chromatic Stagecraft owner Mars visited 7 Stages with a Three-day lighting design intensive built for Youth Creates. The whole program is hands-on by design — students handle the gear, run the board, and finish by creating a live light show to music.

Phot 4 - Scavenger Hunt shenanigans! The ensemble became familiar with the theatre’s layout while checking off their finds. What a great way to learn all the nooks of a theatre!
