Idea Capital Atlanta Idea Capital pools resources from throughout the arts community to provide direct monetary support for Atlanta artists, performers and cultural producers.

IDEA CAPITAL relies on artists, creatives, and art enthusiasts in the Atlanta art community to contribute funds to support our annual Grant Program. Every dollar raised will go directly to Atlanta artists. Since our inception in 2008, Idea Capital has awarded over $152,000 in grants to 135 Atlanta artists.

Thank you, Atlanta, for turning up in full force for artists at Idea Capital’s “A Spirited Soirée”! We could not have asked for a better outcome.

The fundraiser for our 2027 season was the most successful yet, and we have you to thank for that.

Idea Capital strives to make Atlanta a uniquely supportive environment for artistic experimentation.

We’ll begin using a new logo this fall that we hope communicates how serious we are in that vision, along with the energy it will take to get there.

Idea Capital’s mission is to make it clear just how much this community wants to see its peers try innovative things. We recognize Atlanta artists who conceive and execute important new ideas across the arts spectrum. Through our awards, we validate those who explore the uncertain and the risky. We acknowledge cultural producers with the audacity to change the tide.

Our new logo explores these ideas. The new Idea Capital wordmark is paired with The Jot, our symbol for the moment an idea first takes form. This is the mark you make when a brilliant thought awakens you in the night, when you grab a pen to get the ink and the ideas flowing. This is the first energetic mark you make on the back of a cocktail napkin when you come up with a brilliant sculpture project or a theatre costume or a character for your novel.

Idea Capital encourages that moment and a million more like it. That first powerful thought. Those first brilliant flashes of insight.

Idea Capital is your champion for those moments and for seeing them through.

Join Idea Capital as we embark on a new level of support for audacious ideas. Our new look is just the beginning. We will have plenty more in store for the artists who push and the art that pushes back.
