As we decompress from Dragon Con 2025, we want to thank you for a truly fantastic four days. Without you, our valuble reporters, we couldn't do what we love. It was a pleasure seeing all of you, and meeting those who were new.

Thank you to every media attendee that participated in our "Fellowship of Ivan" ribbon quest. There will be another post soon, with photos for everyone to share, but we are waiting until Ivan gets his care package in a few weeks. He still does not know about the ribbon.

All interview requests were sent out to the Dragon Con guests early in the week. We are in the process of scheduling now.

We have had a few outlets request additional interviews since the Sunday deadline. Unfortunately, those requests cannot be added. We have to give the agents time to get approvals from the guests and then we work on the scheduling process.

If any of your requests have been approved, you will begin seeing emails with the time and place of the interview(s) starting on Monday. We do not email you when your request is denied. If you don't get an email from us with information regarding your interview request, it is because it was not approved.

Make sure you have access to your email during the convention, as we work all weekend to try and get additional interviews approved onsite.

Cady Coleman, former NASA astronaut, will be with us at Dragon Con this year. She also has a wonderful new book, “Sharing Space: An astronaut’s guide to mission, wonder, and making change.” It isn't your usual biography. It's a very easy read with humor and determination. She is also the astronaut who released the Chandra Space Telescope. https://www.cadycoleman.com/

And then, NASA is attending in an official capacity. Sure, we’ve had people from NASA coming for the last 22 years, but this is the first time NASA has sent people to Dragon Con. They are sending several, but a few that would make good interviews include:

Kelly Fast - acting Planetary Defense Officer in the Planetary Defense Coordination Office at NASA, which is responsible for protecting the planet from asteroids and other hazards.

David Grinspoon - Senior Scientist for Astrobiology Strategy, which means he studies the possible conditions for life on other planets.

Megan Ansdell - a Program Officer in the Planetary Science Division (PSD) and the Astrophysics Division (APD), a role which includes working with the Mars samples. She is also involved in NASA’s Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning programs.

Lori Glaze - Acting Deputy Associate Administrator for NASA’s Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate, which defines and manages systems development for programs critical to NASA’s Artemis program and planning for NASA’s Moon to Mars exploration approach.

This year we are going to be trying something new in the Dragon Con Media Relations department. We are launching our own Discord server for reporters and volunteers to be able to ask and answer questions, share information and get updated.

Please take a minute to join our Discord server and make sure to adjust your profile name to the name you applied for media credentials under, followed by your organization. ex: John Smith (Awesome Magazine)
