Multi-disciplinary artist, musician, producer, and curator Mike Stasny has updated the vacant storefront at 42 Walton St, NW from the wildly popular “Pink Ballooon” to “INGURRABLE 1.”

Through a deliberately artificial presentation, “INGURRABLE 1” interrogates our collective desire to assign importance based on tone, posture, and presentation.

To learn more about this piece, visit our website. To see it with your own eyes, come to Walton Street!

☕️Pssstttt….. is next door, so we recommend getting a frothy coffee before or after your visit.

Have you seen the latest artwork from our Local Stories series? Local Stories is a creative storytelling initiative presenting lesser-known facts about Atlanta’s rich history.

On view now: “Fairlie-Poplar: The Birds Moved Uptown” by Liliana Penagos , curated by John Dirga. Downtown’s Fairlie-Poplar Historic District is home to Atlanta’s largest concentration of early 20th-century architecture. Several multi-story buildings incorporated the latest design technologies: steel frames, elevators, and air conditioning. Today, Fairlie-Poplar has become a favorite location for major motion pictures and television.

This artwork can be viewed at Margaret Mitchell Square through April 30th.

🌼Shoutout to on this beautiful 404 day for transforming the vacant storefront at 115 Peachtree St, NE into a visual wonder.

Chanell’s piece “Nourish” is “a tribute to power, resilience, and the tenderness of Black motherhood. This piece honors the women who have not only fed their children but have nourished entire communities with love, wisdom and strength. The moving orange blossoms symbolize growth, transformation, and the ever giving nature of care.” She wrote on her Instagram page.

Thank you for sharing your talent with us, Chanell, and making the city a more beautiful and inspiring place to be.

There’s a new artwork up from our Local Stories series, a creative storytelling initiative presenting lesser-known facts about Atlanta’s rich history.

On view now: “Atlanta’s Airport” by Pam Peacock , curated by John Dirga. From the early days of airplanes to jumbo jets, the foresight of Mayor William Hartsfield guided Atlanta into the age of modern aviation. The city quickly outgrew Hartsfield’s “jet-age terminal” and made plans for a larger, world-class airport. Mayor Maynard Jackson oversaw the new airport’s construction, ensuring minority participation in the project.

This artwork can be viewed at Margaret Mitchell Square through March 31st.
