As we close out 2025 and step into a new year, I am so grateful for every memorable moment.

From performances and Cultural Labs to school programs, summer enrichment, and the annual SRA October Conference. What a journey!

None of this would be possible without our grantors, sponsors, community partners, and supporters who believe in preserving traditional arts. These include Fulton County Board of Commissioners, FCAC, Horizons, and Roots. Thank you.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year full of rich heritage, prosperity, community, and connection!

A scene from BAMAKO CHIC featured during Sabar Rek Atlanta’s Supper & Sabar late-night family and community activation. Grateful to producers Maureen Gosling and Maxine Downs, PhD, for allowing us to premiere their work here in Atlanta.

The film had its world premiere at the International Women’s Conference in Kigali, Rwanda and played at the Pan-African Film Festival in Los Angeles.

In the 1960’s a group of self-empowered Malian women sparked a revolution, inspired by beauty and economic survival.
