Top 5 reasons why you should go ahead and get your tickets to What We Are Up Against: An Activism Cabaret on July 9th from 4-6 at 7 Stages theater (bit.ly/whatweareupagainst)
5. Did you know that 7 Stages has been remodeled and you can be among the first to see the new fancy digs?
4. The show is not going to make you feel worse about our current state of affairs; it's going to make you feel better, and how many Netflix Shows can you say that about?
3. You might as well see some of these performers now before they become too famous for a smaller venue.
2. Humans who care about other humans are sexy, and the theater is going to be full of them.
1. We're going to sell out.

Excited to announce our 4 amazing non profit activist organizations who are going to be our recipients for our Fundraising Show on July 9th from 4-6pm at 7 Stages: What We Are Up Against: An Activism Cabaret addressing Abortion Access/Trans Rights/Stop Cop City/Asylum. SNAPCO: Solutions Not Punishment Collaborative is a Black LGBT organization in Atlanta that was founded in 2013 for the purpose of building safety within black, LGBT communities. The first project they launched was a "policing alternative program" offering diversion to people to call an alternate number for community support to connect an individual who might be experiencing mental health issues, homelessness, or addiction to support networks without involving the police. This initiative became its own organization (PAD, Policing Alternatives and Diversion Initiative) Snapco currently provides direct support and community education, and are working in partnership with the Citizen app to provide an alternative to calling the police. For the dedicated work of activism Snapco has been continually engaged in fighting the funding of Cop City, we are very proud for them to be a recipient of this fundraiser.
Community Estrella: Community Estrella and supporters focus on raising awareness and offering support for the Trans and Latinx community. In addition to providing direct support to trans people, Community Estrella engages in community education and advocacy. This organization helped create the first Trans Liberation Day at the capitol this spring in response to SB 140, a ban on the most significant forms of gender affirming healthcare for minors. Community Estrella has participated in depth in Stop Cop City advocacy. This week Georgia Equality awarded Estrella Sanchez, the CEO/ED of Community Estrella the Cheryl Courtney Evans Award for Trans Advocacy.
Feminist Women's Health Center:FWHC is a reproductive health, rights and justice organization. They provide direct services, education, advocacy, leadership development and movement building with people across all axes of oppression. They offer abortion care, annual exams, birth control options, emergency contraception, HIV testing and counseling, STI testing and treatment, pregnancy testing and Trans health initiative services.
Team Libertad:Team Libertad was founded in May 2022 with the purpose of providing resources and assistance to recently detained asylum seekers who are leaving Georgia to reunite with loved ones and wait their day in asylum court. Comprised of about 100 active volunteers, Team Libertad depends on compassionate individuals from welcoming communities to serve the 50-100 travelers it greets at the airport on a weekly basis. These travelers are individuals seeking asylum who were recently released from the Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Georgia. Arriving to Hartsfield Jackson with many emotions and few resources, Team Libertad steps in to welcome them to Atlanta and to help meet any immediate or expressed need such as:Access to language interpretation, use of cell phones to contact loved ones, assistance obtaining tickets and boarding passes, guidance through security screening and locating departure gates, and distribution of travel essentials such as personal hygiene items, food, weather-appropriate clothing, and backpacks.
