Since no one’s coming to save you from the discomfort of growth, you might as well learn how to smile through it.
You might as well laugh a little, thank God in the middle of it, and find joy while you’re stretching. Because growth is uncomfortable either way. Evolving is uncomfortable either way. Becoming is uncomfortable either way. So instead of dreading every hard moment, I’m learning to make peace with the process and have a good time while I grow.

Happy Friday ✨
I really thought all day Thursday was Friday 😂
But now that it’s officially here, I’m grateful for another week of growth, new strategies, daily adjustments, and forward motion.

We’re growing, we’re glowing, and we’re making it through. Keep going.

Can always depend on to push me to stay locked in on the hard parts of succeeding! New Affirmation: I AM STRENGTHEN FOR HARD MOMENTS!
After being reminded that everything is working out for my good, I had to be honest with myself: when “Aunt Flow” is visiting, that’s usually when the negative thoughts try to creep in a little louder. But once she leaves, I get back in alignment. I get back on the horse.

That’s why affirmations matter. How we speak to ourselves matters. Our inner dialogue matters in every season.

As said, “If we believe we can, or we believe we can’t, we are absolutely right.”

I have hard moments. I cry. I feel it. I have my little moments. But I always come back to myself. I always get back on the horse. God won’t quit on me, so I can’t quit on Him.

Encouragement is a gift God gave me, so let this be your reminder: be gentle with yourself. We all need love, support, and kindness.

Cheers to the CAN’T QUIT CREW. 🥂

I really thought this part of my career would come later in life, so being able to co-direct and DP a short with friends has meant so much to me. This experience brought something to life that I had only imagined before, and it confirmed for me that directing is truly part of my calling.

The more I grow in this industry, the more I’m realizing that our paths get fine-tuned as we go. What once felt like a distant idea now feels clear: I am going to direct. I am directing.

I’m grateful for every opportunity, every lesson, and every amazing director I’ve been able to learn from. And to the directors ahead of me, I’m always open to advice and always ready to grow.

Lately, I’ve been learning that life is not just about getting to the destination. It’s also about the journey. It’s about the small, sweet, precious moments that meet you along the way and give you the strength to keep going.

In this quiet, stretching, shifting season, I’m learning that even the moments that seem small can be deeply meaningful. They can encourage you, refill you, and remind you that God is still present in every part of the process.

I’m learning to enjoy the journey more. The hard days. The good days. The fun days. The sad days. All of it. Because through every part of it, I’m learning more about myself, and I’m trusting that God still has more for me.

Honored to have photographed the great Rev. Jesse Jackson in Bayelsa State, Nigeria. I may not remember the exact year, but I will always remember the privilege of having such a historic and powerful legacy grace my lens. Rev. Jackson reminded the world to keep hope alive. May he rest in power and peace.

POV: You’ve entered your double down season.

When you stop focusing on what went wrong and start focusing on what you can build next… everything shifts. I’m leaning into that shift.

Follow along—this is my Double Down Season.
