Atlanta, GA!
In case you missed yesterday’s post, we’re coming home in mid-November for a very special night.
On November 12, we’re taking over starcommunitybar with our good friends Dallas Moore and Cody Bolden for Barebones & Barstools, a stripped-down night built around the songs and the people who wrote them.
Dallas Moore has spent decades on the road earning his place as one of the hardest-working guys in independent country music. We’ve dubbed him the H***y Tonk Machine (and also an honorary Waymore as Dallas WAYMoore). If you’ve only ever seen him tear it up with a full band, this is a chance to hear those songs the way they started, with Dallas and a guitar.
Cody Bolden is our favorite Georgia boy and just self-released his third album, *Menace to Myself*. Cody has built his career his own way, writing songs that sound like him instead of chasing whatever country music is supposed to sound like at the moment. We’re excited to have him on this one and to hear some of the new record the way those songs were written.
And The Waymores…well, you know us. We spend most of our lives driving around the country singing together, but there’s something extra special about bringing it back home to Atlanta. We’ll play songs from our records, tell some stories and probably make fun of each other at least a little.
The whole idea behind Barebones & Barstools is to take away the production and put the focus back where it started: the song. Three artists, a few guitars and a room full of people actually listening.
Come grab a cheap b**r and spend a Thursday night with us at Star Bar. These are the kinds of shows we love getting to be part of, and we’d really love to see a room full of familiar Atlanta faces.
